Job Overview

We are looking for an additional Security Officer to provide support to our team that handles coverage at the South Shore Regional Hospital and Health-Care clinics in the Bridgewater/Lunenburg area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong observational skills, a proactive approach to safety, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations.

Duties

Monitor and patrol designated areas to ensure safety and security. Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to identify potential security threats. Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement when necessary. Perform loss prevention duties by identifying suspicious activities and taking appropriate action. Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients, employees, and visitors. Prepare detailed reports of incidents and maintain accurate records of daily activities. Enforce company policies and procedures related to security protocols.

Skills

Proven experience in law enforcement or security-related fields is preferred. Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and equipment, including CCTV systems. De-Escalation (NVCI / MOAB) and Use of Force training is preferred. Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making abilities.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $17.00-$18.40 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 36 per week
