Hours: | Monday to Friday 0730-1530/1530-2330
Overtime Method: | Ontario ESA
Payrate: | $22.61/hour

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain a professional, visible, and alert security presence
• Greet, assist, and direct visitors
• Protect clients, buildings, and assets
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols (proactive and reactive)
• Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as needed
• Document and report all security-related events
• Investigate routine incidents
• Perform patient watches
• Enforce parking, smoking, and hospital policies
• Manage access control and keys
• Complete monthly safety inspections
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
• Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
• A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)
• Steps to get your immunization records:

Immunization Form: * Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR-V immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.

• Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
• Minimum 6 months of healthcare security experience preferred
• Minimum 6 months of non-healthcare security experience preferred
• Ability to commit to full-time availability for at least 6 months
• English proficiency (oral and written) required
• Bilingualism (English/French) an asset
• 6+ months of customer service experience an asset
• Must be able to provide certifications in Stay Safe

• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's Stay Safe certification program prior to their onboarding certification to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Please be aware: The Stay Safe certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all the costs of the certification with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability

Certification Requirements (All)
Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
