Position: Healthcare Security Guard - Float Pool - KHSC/PC
Site: Various
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Hours: Various
Payrate: | $17.95/hour - $22.61/hour

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain a professional, visible security presence
• Greet, assist, and direct the public
• Protect clients, staff, buildings, and assets
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Conduct interior/exterior patrols and respond to emergencies
• Document and report incidents, investigate as required
• Perform patient watches and enforce hospital policies/by-laws
• Manage access control, keys, and parking enforcement
• Support monthly safety inspections and other assigned duties
• Additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
• Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
• A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)
• Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR-V and Pertussis immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.

• Steps to get your immunization records:

Immunization Form: * Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)

• Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred
• Minimum 6 months of non-healthcare security experience preferred
• Able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 months
• English proficiency (oral & written) required
• Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset
• 6+ months of customer service experience is considered an asset
• Must be able to provide certifications in Stay Safe

• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's Stay Safe certification program prior to their onboarding certification to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Please be aware: The Stay Safe certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all the costs of the certification with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
• Authorized to legally work in Canada
