St. Patrick's Home of Ottawa is currently seeking a regular full-time maintenance lead hand to add to our team. The right candidate will have advanced experience in maintaining physical plant operations such as HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life-safety and security systems and all other related equipment.
Duties:
Reporting to the Manager, Building Operations
Key Responsibilities:
While understanding time is of the essence, utilizes advanced experience (see qualifications) and skills to perform multifaceted preventive and routine maintenance tasks, plus corrective repairs to building systems, equipment, fixtures and furnishings. Monitors building system operations and performance. Experienced in trade skills such as carpentry, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, painting and welding. Assigns work, leads, mentors and monitors Maintenance 1 and 2 positions to ensure standards of Service Excellence.
Repair and maintenance for all aspects of building operations systems and equipment such as, BAS, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life-safety and security, etc.
Deliver and/or supply: audits, cleaning, inspections, labour, painting, preventative maintenance, repairs, refurbishment and testing, etc. to ensure St. Pat's maintains a clean, safe and secure environment that meets or exceeds compliances with legislated requirements.
Ensures compliances with Maintenance related Acts, Codes and Regulations, i.e. Building and Fire Codes, OHSA, MOHLTC, PHIPA, etc.
Conducts monthly fire and emergency procedures drills.
Maintains inventories of maintenance parts and supplies.
Qualifications:
Certificate/ Diploma/Degree in Building Environmental Systems Operator Class 1, Building Operations, Building Sciences or Stationary Engineer 4th/5th Class or equivalent;
Minimum 5 years' experience in physical plant operations; maintaining HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life-safety and security systems, etc. and related equipment;

Pay: $25.39-$27.09 per hour
