About the Role

Keeping Enoch Cree Nation Health Services building clean and in orderly condition. Perform cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and notifying management of need of repairs.

Key Responsibilities

Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming. Gather and empty trash throughout Health Services Department. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, with cleaning solution mixture and other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications. Steam-clean or shampoo carpets. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. Bi-yearly conduct a thorough cleaning of the Health Services Building. Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created. Stock area with appropriate supplies. Seasonal outdoor maintenance such as gathering trash, cutting grass, shovelling walkways and de-icing to ensure safety. Inform ECN Health Director on supplies that require ordering. Perform other duties assigned by ECN Health Senior Manager.
Qualifications

Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques, and standards within a Health Environment. Skill in using cleaning products and equipment. Skill in following verbal and written instruction. Building Service Worker (BSW) Certification. Must be open and willing for recommended training if necessary for job requirements by attending training programs, workshops, information sessions, and conferences when available.

Conditions of Employment

Standard work schedule: Monday to Friday, 830 - 430 (with a one-hour paid lunch break); flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed. Primary location: Enoch Cree Nation Health Services Building. Physical fitness required (ability to walk, climb stairs, lift up to 50 lbs, etc.). A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required. Must sign and adhere to the Enoch Cree Nation Confidentiality Agreement upon hire.
