Health Sciences LibrarianApplications are invited from qualified individuals for a 0.8 FTE two-year term librarian position with the University Library. We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and flexible individual with the appropriate skills and qualifications to work collaboratively as part of our team. The appointee will serve as part of the health sciences librarian team with liaison responsibilities for the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition and the College of Kinesiology, and will contribute to library-wide projects and priorities. The focus of the position will be on instruction and research support to students and faculty in the assigned areas.Reporting to the Dean, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing high quality services that support teaching, learning, and research in their liaison areas including:
  • designing and delivering information literacy instruction and programming
  • providing information services, including one-on-one consultations, on a wide variety of topics including literature searching, knowledge syntheses, scholarly communication, research data management
  • developing high quality collections of digital resources in assigned disciplinary areas
  • Building collaborative relationships with campus community to advance learning and research
  • Working as part of teams across the Library to advance strategic areas such as knowledge synthesis, open scholarship, student experience, and decolonization of services, collections and spaces
Each librarian at the University Library also contributes to the advancement of the by working as a member of one of the library\'s four divisions (Learning and Curriculum Support Division, Research Support Services Division, Collections and Discovery Division, and University Archives and Special Collections Division). The assignment to a division is made based on a combination of the candidate\'s experience and interest and the needs of the library.Qualifications
An Master of Library and Information Science degree or international equivalent is required for this appointment.   • Assistant Librarian: $89,982 to $107,322
  • Associate Librarian: $107,322 to $128,130
  • Librarian: $128,130 to $155,874
It is anticipated that this position will be filled at the Assistant level.
