This position will be based out of our Moncton branch, reporting to the Regional Health & Safety Manager for Atlantic Canada. The chosen candidate will be responsible for supporting the Atlantic region, including job sites throughout New-Brunswick, PEI, and Newfoundland. Frequent travel will be required.A Day in the Life\xc2\xb7 Manage the safety requirements of operational construction sites and equipment\xc2\xb7 Conduct safety inspections of Flynn project sites\xc2\xb7 Ensure that subcontractors adhere to required safety standards in accordance with legislation and Flynn policies\xc2\xb7 Identify potential risks and safety hazards during a project through involvement throughout the job life cycle (estimate, pre-mobilization, and construction)\xc2\xb7 Perform accident and incident investigations\xc2\xb7 Maintain a conducive working relationship with all management, superintendents, project managers, and frontline workers, through education, coaching, advising and giving practical on-site application options\xc2\xb7 Assist with the communication and implementation of the company\'s claims management and return-to-work programs\xc2\xb7 Participate in the development and implementation of safety training programs\xc2\xb7 Conduct new hire safety orientations and other required training programs as needed\xc2\xb7 Write reports and maintain all required documentation\xc2\xb7 Attend and facilitate monthly safety committee meetings as required\xc2\xb7 Frequent visits to job sites and branches in Atlantic CanadaWhat We Offer\xc2\xb7 Access to great perks & discounts\xc2\xb7 Excellent benefits and RRSP matching program\xc2\xb7 Great environment where our motto is \xe2\x80\x9cFlynn Family Winning Together\xe2\x80\x9d!\xc2\xb7 Ongoing career development courses and programs through our in-house Flynn UniversityWhat We Are Seeking\xc2\xb7 Formal education or training in Environmental/Occupational Health and Safety, NCSO, or equivalent experience\xc2\xb7 Minimum 1-3 years\' experience in a safety role within a construction environment\xc2\xb7 Experience working in the ICI construction industry, specifically dealing with Building Envelope is considered an asset\xc2\xb7 Experience with injury management an asset\xc2\xb7 Bilingual English/French a strong asset\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of the COR and/or ISO 45001 is considered a strong asset\xc2\xb7 Good knowledge of Construction regulations of Atlantic provinces, and Fall Protection legislation\xc2\xb7 Knowledge and practical experience in accident investigation\xc2\xb7 Strong ability in using a computer with high proficiency in Windows applications; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)\xc2\xb7 Ability to work with minimal supervision\xc2\xb7 Team attitude with a willingness to learn\xc2\xb7 Willingness to travel\xc2\xb7 Valid driver\'s license required#LI-JH1CANPSVFlynn Group of Companies is the leading trade contractor in North America that works on virtually every aspect of a building\'s outer layer, including Roofing, Glazing, Waterproofing, and Architectural Metals.
