Duties

Daily safety representative on site at BHP Site in Jansen, SK. Leading and advising crews in safety, doing safety related site paperwork, incident investigations, daily toolbox meetings, attending meetings, abiding and enforcing BHP Site policies, etc. Following, advising and enforcing the Norwest safety manual and ensuring all workforce is doing as such. Working closely with and under the supervision and direction of the Norwest Site Superintendent at the Jansen Site. Report any serious safety matters as directed and working along with the Site Superintendent and the Project Manager.

Qualifications

Minimum NCSO Certification Experience with Building envelope/Cladding or Roofing is an asset but not necessary as that is the work we are preforming. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train and educate staff on safety protocols. Ability to analyze data related to workplace incidents and recommend improvements. A proactive attitude towards identifying potential hazards and implementing solutions.

Working Hours/Days

Work will be on a 14 on and 7 off rotation. Hours while on site will range from 10-12 hours per day. On a 10 hour day, 6.5 hours will be straight time and 3.5 hours will be at time and a half. As well, any hours after 10 in a day will be at time and a half. Travel allowance will be provided for out of town residence. Camp is provided.

Pay: $55.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 70 - 85 per week
