HEALTH & SAFETY COORDINATOR

at our

Administration Office.

What you'll do:

The Health & Safety/HR Coordinator will play a role in ensuring the well-being and development of employees and maintaining a safe working environment. This position requires a combination of human resource skills and an understanding of health and safety regulations. The Health & Safety/HR Coordinator provides advice and support to the Local Co-op on a broad variety of HR and health and safety activities, including employee training and development and the implementation and maintenance of health and safety programs. They are responsible for maintaining thorough records and reporting.



Key Responsibilities include:


Health and Safety program administration including updates, organization, reporting, and act as a resource on the program for management and employees. Collaborate with management team on hazard assessment, critical task lists, safe work procedure development and training, and emergency response plans Coordinate and participate in the Workplace Health and Safety Committee Manage incident reporting including corrective action follow-up and investigations. Assist the HR department in WCB management and Return to work programs Organize and deliver training for health and safety and regulatory training as well as assist HR department in onboarding training. Vendor management for Workplace health and safety Administrator of Health and Safety mobile applications including setup of users, training, and reporting. Support the HR Department as requested.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in retail/food service and you have the following attributes:


2-3 years of relevant experience Highly proficient in the use of technology including safety systems software and Microsoft office suite including excel and outlook. Valid Driver's License
