Supports and advises the company on all aspects of workplace health and safety;
Prepares and posts weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual health and safety statistics;
Continuously improves all aspects of the company (sound tests, air quality tests, new equipment) and stays up-to-date with TSNB (WorkSafe NB) and the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
Collaborates and coordinates certain files with external stakeholders such as doctors, subcontractors, WorkSafe NB, regional safety consortiums, etc.;
Manages workplace accident files and participates in return-to-work processes (temporary assignments and rehabilitation);
Participates in risk analysis of equipment and workstations with corrective measures, ergonomics, tools, etc.;
Prepares, attends, and follows up on Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings (quotes and bids, inspections, observations, expert consultants, training, incident and investigation reports, statistics, etc.);
Prepares, attends, and follows up on meetings with individuals involved in various matters (space issues, ergonomics, heat tests, internal and external audits, inspections by WorkSafe NB officers, etc.);
Prepares, writes, presents, and updates directives, policies and procedures, regulations, work instructions, weekly safety tips, alerts, protocols, etc.;
Ensures health and safety orientation for new office and plant employees;
Manages the
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
College diploma in Health and Safety or equivalent experience;
Written and spoken French and English are required;
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint);
Effective communication skills verbally, by phone, and by email with company management, colleagues, and external stakeholders;
Strong numerical skills and mastery of applicable laws and regulations;
Social skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team;
Time management and prioritization skills, organizational sense;
Availability to work outside regular business hours;
Must possess all documents required to work legally in Canada.
We prefer a candidate with strong social skills, as they will communicate with health and safety officers and colleagues. Adaptability, resourcefulness, organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and knowledge in signage would be an asset.
