Opportunity
As a Health and Safety Assistant working in the Health & Safety department at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role in supporting the project team(s) with key health and safety administrative tasks. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects - ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion - you will support the maintenance of health and safety documentation and assist with the coordination of resources.What You Will Do

• Proactively communicate and maintain open lines of communication when working with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients, providing exceptional client service.
• Take pride in using and maintaining our innovative internal technology systems to maintain health and safety documentation.
• Assist with organizing and planning Health, Safety, and Environment (SSE) training.
• Diligently assist with key documentation and drafting of health and safety documents.
• You are a stickler for detail and consistently ensure that key information is updated and distributed accordingly.
• Utilize your passion for organization through the maintenance of project files, documents and training records.
• Proactively follow up on health and safety inspections and the coordination of HSE equipment.
• Take charge of communicating continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring health and safety is a way of life on our construction sites.

This role could be for you if you have

• Certificate or diploma in Health & Safety;
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry;
• Strong working experience utilizing Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) in a professional environment;
• Excellent organizational skills, precision, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and prioritization management;
• Please note that this project is a remote project site close to the Lower Mainland of Vancouver. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working within this environment.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $60,000 - $75,000, plus applicable Project Assignment Uplift. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidates experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed above.
