Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus, invites applications for a term Program Coordinator position for the Health Programs. The appointments will commence September 1, 2025, and ends August 31, 2028. The salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Instructor salary scale, ranging from $36.46 to $49.38 per hour.

Duties: Working closely with the Associate Dean and instructors, the Program Coordinator will ensure program evolution and play a lead role in ensuring program quality, effectiveness, efficiency, and student success. The coordinator role will be a 3-year term; and will be 50% for the 2025/2026 academic year. The workload for the remaining 2 years will be based on student enrolment.
This includes, but is not limited to the following:
Instructor hiring and scheduling
Budget development, monitoring, and maintenance
Program and curriculum development
Educational liaison and articulation
Student recruitment/retention and advocacy, community outreach, and program promotion
Work with faculty to ensure the program meets the accreditation requirements
All other related duties of similar scope and complexity
Qualifications
A current practicing license as an LPN or RN
3 - 5 years of recent and relevant practice experience including clinical experience
+ One of the following credentials in adult education from an accredited post-secondary institution (those in progress must have an identified completion date):
- Masters in Adult Education
- Provincial Instructor's Diploma
- Provincial Teaching Certificate
Demonstrated ability to supervise the program
Clinical-site requirements such as CPRC, First Aid, up-to-date vaccinations, etc. or willingness to obtain the requirements (prior to clinical placements)
Clear commitment to excellence in teaching and the transformation of teaching and learning in Health with a focus on Indigenization and experiential place-based learning
Experience teaching in a variety of formats, including online, face to face and through distributed learning
Knowledge and enthusiasm for the best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom
Ability to function effectively across cultures, particularly with the Indigenous communities, is an asset
Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain students in a post-secondary setting
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
