Continuing Care Edmonton Zone (CCEZ) provides services through five main program areas: Home Living (HCC Type 1 & 2), Supportive Living (CCH Type B), Facility Living (CCH Type A), Palliative and End of Life Care, CHOICE & Adult Day Programs and Transition Services. The Health Educator is a member of the Education & Practice Development team. They are responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating orientation and education. The education provided by this position supports the clinical practice of frontline staff, while collaborating and coordinating with operational areas. Collaborates with stakeholders to plan and implement education related to changes in policy, procedures, protocols, clinical practice initiatives and technology that impacts and supports best practice and quality improvement. Identifies gaps in knowledge and promotes clinical competence. Fosters leadership/mentorship support to team members. Provides in time learning that impacts clinicians to respond to priorities and learning needs. Creates and maintains clinical resources. Adheres to a professional Code of Ethics, policies and procedures that guide their work.
Description:
As a Health Educator, you will promote existing courses, as well as develop, coordinate and deliver educational activities to support staff learning based on a patient-centered care model. You will collaborate with Health Educators from all the Zones and relevant initiatives.
