Overview


We are seeking a highly organized and professional Receptionist to join our multi-disciplinary health care team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a blend of clerical experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in various software applications to support the daily operations of our busy health care clinic.

Responsibilities



Greet and welcome visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls appropriately and taking messages when necessary. Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date records. Handle filing and organization of documents to ensure easy access to information. Provide customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Utilize Microsoft Office, Universal Schedule, and other software for administrative duties such as typing, proofreading documents, and preparing reports. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to create a welcoming environment for clients. Support the therapists with various clerical tasks as assigned, contributing to overall clinic efficiency.

Qualifications



Able to work 20-22 hours per week with flexibility to cover vacation, sick days, etc. Previous health care experience is not required, but is an asset. Medical, paramedical or dental office experience is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly; familiarity with Universal Schedule is very useful. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for filing and data management tasks. Strong typing skills with an emphasis on accuracy; experience in proofreading is beneficial. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on phone etiquette when interacting with patients and clients. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Previous experience in a health care setting as a receptionist or in a similar role is advantageous.
