Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to provide high-quality support to patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice care, and home care environments. Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility Provide patient care tailored to individual needs, including medication administration and health monitoring Support with meal preparation and feeding as required Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and their families Assist with mobility and heavy lifting to ensure safety during transfers or repositioning Document patient care activities accurately and report any concerns or changes in condition Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff

Experience

Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care is preferred Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those with dementia is highly desirable Knowledge of caregiving best practices, medication administration, and patient safety standards is advantageous Previous experience in caregiving roles involving meal preparation, cleaning, or heavy lifting is beneficial A background in nursing or healthcare-related fields can enhance your ability to provide comprehensive patient support

Requirements

Experience in Home Health Care - Prior experience as an Internationally Educated Nurse (IEN), Registered Care Aide (RCA), Personal Support Worker (PSW), or Health Care Assistant (HCA) is an asset. First Aid & CPR Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector TB test within 24 months Driver's license and reliable vehicle
