Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring the comfort and safety of our clients.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed. Administer medications according to established protocols. Support patients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by performing light housekeeping duties. Engage with patients in meaningful activities to promote their well-being. Document patient care activities accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare team members. Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, particularly those with dementia or disabilities. Adhere to all safety and health regulations while providing care.

Experience

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care is preferred. Familiarity with patient care techniques, including dementia care and working with individuals with disabilities. Experience in home care settings is a plus. Strong caregiving skills with the ability to handle physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting. A background in cleaning and maintaining hygiene standards in healthcare settings is beneficial.
