Position Overview

Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate ability to provide continuous quality patient care.
  • Adheres to all safety and health regulations and demonstrates safe work practices.
  • Accept and work within the framework of the Hospital and Nursing Service\'s philosophy, objectives and policies.
  • Under the direction of the RN, provide designated/delegated aspects of patient care.
  • Maintain and clean equipment and carry out other duties related to maintaining a safe, clean environment.
  • Utilize a positive approach to problem-solving in all aspects of job responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills ensuring effective interpersonal and interdepartmental communication.
  • Participate as a supportive and contributing member of the health care team.

  • Completed Grade 12 or equivalent required.
  • Completion of recognized Health Care Assistant course required or currently enrolled in a University Nursing Program and having completed year two (2).
  • Friends and Family training is required.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support is required for positions in Emergency, Intensive Care and Central Relief Team.

  • Dipl\xc3\xb4me de 12e ann\xc3\xa9e ou l\'\xc3\xa9quivalent requis.
  • Formation reconnue comme assistant(e) en soins de sant\xc3\xa9 requise ou \xc3\xaatre inscrit(e) dans un programme universitaire en soins infirmiers et avoir termin\xc3\xa9 la 2e ann\xc3\xa9e.
  • Formation en Famille et amis \xc2\xab Friends and Family \xc2\xbb requise.
  • Certification \xc3\xa0 jour en soins imm\xc3\xa9diats en RCR pour les postes \xc3\xa0 l\'urgence, aux soins intensifs et dans l\'\xc3\xa9quipe centrale de soins rel\xc3\xa8ve.
