Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring the comfort and dignity of those you assist. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any changes in condition. Maintain cleanliness in patient living areas and assist with light housekeeping duties. Support patients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary. Document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding any concerns or changes in condition. Offer specialized care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Collaborate with family members to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or home care is preferred. Strong understanding of patient care practices and caregiving techniques. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring specialized care is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist patients with mobility challenges. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving. Knowledge of meal preparation and basic nutrition principles is beneficial. Certification as a Health Care Aide or equivalent training is preferred but not mandatory. Pay: $22.19-$27.98 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
