Under the direction/supervision of the clinical team, you will perform direct patient services tasks.
Accountabilities:
Assisting with patient transfer/care, patient temperatures, weighing and utilizing aseptic techniques
Accommodation and support services responsibilities including:
+ Comprehensive cleaning, preparation and disinfection of dialysis machines
+ Preparation of dialysis pre-packages, waste removal, linen, and restock of supplies
+ Transporting equipment and supplies with solution and maintenance of a safe environment
Qualifications
Registered with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA)
Personal Support Worker Certificate required from an accredited institution
Basic Knowledge of aseptic techniques
Current CPR
Recent experience working in a highly technical patient care environment
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication and comprehension skills
Flexibility to meet unit needs
Ability to work well with team members
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Meditech system
Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
Must demonstrate Osler Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
Able to handle physical requirements of the job (ability to lift at least 25-30 pounds)
Additional Information
Hours: Currently days/nights, 12 hours including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
SALARY:
Minimum: $30.76 per hour
Maximum: $31.38 per hour
