Your Opportunity:The amazing Home Care team in St. Paul has an opening for a Health Care Aide (HCA). This role is critical to Home Care as you provide care and build relationships with your clients. Your critical thinking skills will be utilized as you are the person who will need to notice changes in your clients and if additional care is required. You will work to the full capacity of an HCA and grow your skills as you work independently and become an advocate for the client. You are a compassionate and empathetic individual as you work in this interesting, challenging, and continually changing field with some complex patients who require your support. The Health Care Aide functions as a member of the team providing healthcare services for clients and family members in their home environment. St. Paul is an active community with lots to offer with multiple recreation facilities and 14 lakes with numerous campgrounds nearby. Located within Alberta\'s Lake country on the traditional lands of Treaty 6 and the beautiful lands of the Metis. St. Paul was founded in 1896 as a Metis colony. You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers spanning the continuum of care in home, community or health care facilities. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory. Must provide a confirmation letter as proof of enrolment from the Directory at https://www.albertahcadirectory.com/health-care-aides/confirmation/. Nursing students currently enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program who have successfully completed a minimum of 100 hours of practicum; and are either in their 1st year of practical nursing program; or 2nd year of baccalaureate nursing or psychiatric nursing program will be considered. Must attest to this compliance and provide proof of qualification. Additional Required Qualifications:Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). As this is a Home Care role, you will need to have a valid Class 5 driver\'s license or non GDL.
