Health Care Aide - In-Home Senior Care

We are urgently hiring a

dedicated Health Care Aide (HCA)

for a

permanent weekend role

, providing 12-hour shifts

every Saturday and Sunday

with a single long-term client in Parkland County. This position offers consistency, meaningful work, and a trusted care relationship.

MUST be available every Saturday & Sunday--no exceptions.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with all

activities of daily living (ADLs)

and personal care Complete

full meal preparation

: planning, cooking, plating, clean-up Perform

housekeeping

, laundry, and organization tasks Run

errands

and accompany client to appointments (must drive) Walk two large dogs daily as part of the routine Provide medication reminders or administration if required Monitor and report any changes in health or behaviour Deliver safe, respectful, client-centred care with warmth and consistency

Requirements:

Health Care Aide Certificate (or equivalent accredited training) Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence & reliable vehicle Proof of $2 million liability insurance on vehicle Current CPR & First Aid certification Clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check Fluent in English with

clear verbal communication

(client has hearing limitations) Comfortable with dogs and physically able to assist with mobility tasks (e.g., lifting a light wheelchair) Must be confident and capable in the kitchen (meal prep required) Organized, compassionate, and dependable

From $20.00 to $22.00 per hour (depending on experience)
