Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in assisted living, nursing homes, and home care settings. This role involves assisting patients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The Health Care Aide will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support patients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for patients. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor patient responses. Maintain cleanliness in patient living areas and assist with light housekeeping tasks. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Document patient care activities accurately and report any changes in condition to nursing staff. Engage in dementia care strategies for patients experiencing cognitive challenges. Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans.

Experience

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care is preferred. Familiarity with patient care techniques, including caregiving for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus. Experience in home care settings is advantageous. Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others are essential.
