Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. As a Health Care Aide, you will provide essential support and assistance to patients in various healthcare settings. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of patients under your care.

Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Help patients with eating, including meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for patients
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Support patients receiving hospice care or residing in assisted living or nursing home facilities

Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Health Care Aide or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in caregiving or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work well within a team environment

Note: All positions at our organization are paid positions, including internships.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.93-$21.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Fort Saskatchewan, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:

Relevant : 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Canadian HCA Certificate, Valid AB Drivers License (required)
Willingness to travel:

100% (preferred)
