Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team to work in

Edmonton and Leduc area

. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for patients by delivering personalized care tailored to their unique needs.

Duties

As a Health Care Aide, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of patients. Monitoring and documenting changes in patients' conditions and reporting any concerns to the nursing staff. Supporting individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments by engaging them in meaningful activities. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hygiene and safety protocols. Assisting with mobility and physical exercises as directed by healthcare professionals. Collaborating with other caregivers and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Experience

Ideal candidates will possess:

Previous experience in patient care, senior care, or caregiving roles is preferred. Familiarity with dementia care practices and techniques for working with individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of hospice care principles and the ability to provide compassionate end-of-life support is a plus. Experience working in nursing homes or assisted living facilities is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care.

Pay: $16.87-$18.00 per hour
