Certified Health Care Aide (HCA)

to join our team on a casual basis.

We are currently looking for

3 part-time employees for specific clients (please see descriptions below)

. Our goal is to match successful applicants with

consistent clients each week

. The better the fit and the stronger the performance, the more clients--and hours--you'll be assigned. This is a great opportunity to build meaningful relationships while enjoying flexibility and variety in your work.

Position #1 (Urgently Required)



Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday (7 hours per day, between 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)

Location:

Deep South Calgary

Client Preference:

Female caregiver with excellent English communication skills

Preferred Skills & Attributes:



Strong cooking and baking skills Experience with dementia care Outgoing, patient, and skilled in critical thinking Comfortable around dogs and able to drive a truck

Position #2



Schedule:

Wednesday and Saturday, 12:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Location:

Deep South Calgary

Client Preference:

Female caregiver

Preferred Skills & Attributes:



High energy and outgoing personality Flexible with routines Willing and able to drive regularly Dementia care experience Strong critical thinking skills and excellent English communication German language skills considered an asset

Position #3



Schedule:

Overnight shifts (12 hours, 8:30 p.m. - 8:30 a.m.)

Deep South Calgary

Kind, approachable, and patient Flexible with care needs Skilled in palliative care and medication administration Strong critical thinking skills and excellent English communication Italian language skills considered an asset
In this role, you'll provide vital assistance to clients in their homes, supporting them with daily living activities, offering companionship, and ensuring their safety and comfort. You'll be part of a collaborative team that's passionate about making a real difference in the lives of seniors and their families.

What You'll Do



Assist clients with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting). Support with safe mobility and transfers. Monitor and report changes in client conditions to RN Supervisors. Offer emotional support and companionship. Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment. Provide transportation to and from appointments or errands, as needed. Accurately document care activities in accordance with protocols. Follow infection prevention and health & safety standards.

Who You Are



We're looking for someone who is:

Compassionate, reliable, and flexible. Experienced in supporting clients with dementia and other age-related conditions. Friendly and professional, with excellent interpersonal skills. Passionate about person- and family-centered care. Comfortable working independently in varied home settings. Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Qualifications



Required:



Health Care Aide Certificate (recognized in Alberta) with active status on the Alberta HCA Directory. Current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (BCLS-HCP) certification - Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Red Cross. Valid driver's license, clear driver's abstract past 3 years, reliable vehicle with $2M liability insurance. Access to a cell phone with a data plan. Computer literacy and comfort using mobile technology. Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs. Medication Assistance Certification or equivalent experience. Strong English communication skills and time management. Proof of full immunization, including current COVID-19 vaccination, is required

Preferred:



1+ year of experience working in home care, assisted living, or long-term care. Experience with EMRs (Electronic Medical Records). Familiarity with dementia care and chronic illness management.
