Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled and registered Health Care Aide (HCA) to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support to residents, promote their well-being, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support residents with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
Monitor and document residents' health status, reporting any changes to nursing staff.
Foster positive relationships with residents and their families, promoting a person-centered approach to care.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
Ensure compliance with facility policies and BC health regulations.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Health Care Aide in British Columbia (Registration with BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry)
Valid Food Safety certificate
Valid CPR or First Aide certificate
Previous experience in long-term care or a related field preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
