Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. This role is based in Edmonton and is vital to ensuring our clients receive the highest level of personal care and support. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients while embodying our mission of providing exceptional home care.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and assistance to clients in their homes. Support clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client health conditions. Assist with mobility and physical activities to promote independence. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Document client progress and report any changes in health status. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

Certification as a Health Care Aide or equivalent experience. Strong background in patient care, particularly in home or assisted living settings. Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care practices is an asset. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting or transferring clients safely. First Aid/CPR certification is an advantage. Reliable transportation for travel between client locations.
