Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will be using

Point Click Care Software

provide essential support to patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality care while ensuring the comfort and dignity of those you assist. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.

Duties

Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate medical documentation Provide personal care including catheter care and assistance with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Observe patients for changes in condition or behavior and report findings to nursing staff Engage with patients to provide companionship and support, particularly for those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry Support individuals with developmental disabilities by fostering independence and enhancing their quality of life Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements

Previous experience in caregiving or health care aide roles is preferred, particularly in long-term care settings Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical record keeping Knowledge of medical terminology, CPR certification, and basic first aid skills are essential Experience working with individuals requiring memory care or hospice services is a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to work compassionately with diverse populations Ability to follow instructions accurately while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Physical capability to perform tasks that may require lifting or moving patients safely
