Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and assistance. Ideal candidates will possess experience in hospice care, dementia care, and patient care, along with a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for those in your care.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care services to clients, including assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing. Support meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Assist individuals with mobility and transfers to promote independence. Monitor and document changes in clients' health status and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or caregiver. Maintain a clean living environment by performing light housekeeping duties as needed. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide specialized care for individuals with conditions such as dementia or those requiring hospice services.

Requirements

Previous experience in caregiving or health-related fields is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of patient care techniques, including meal preparation and hygiene assistance. Familiarity with working with persons with disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and transferring clients safely. Certification as a Health Care Aide or equivalent training is desirable but not required; we are willing to provide training for the right candidate.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 4 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
