Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to join our team.

Must be willing to commute to Airdrie OR to the Northwest of Calgary

. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities through personalized care and assistance.

Duties

As a Health Care Aide, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Providing companionship and emotional support to clients. Assisting with meal preparation and ensuring proper nutrition. Supporting clients with mobility and physical activities, which may involve heavy lifting. Administering basic care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments. Monitoring clients' health status and reporting any changes to the nursing staff. Assisting in hospice care for terminally ill patients, ensuring comfort and dignity. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients at all times.

Experience

Ideal candidates will possess:

Previous experience in senior care, home care, or assisted living environments is preferred. Familiarity with dementia care techniques and hospice care practices is a plus. Experience working with persons with disabilities is highly valued. A background in nursing or related fields can enhance your application but is not mandatory.

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
