is seeking an action-oriented Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team!
Independent Counselling Enterprises (ICE)
is one of the largest and most respected service providers in the disability services sector with more than 30 years' experience serving individuals with developmental disabilities. ICE has offices in Edmonton, Calgary, Grande Prairie and Lethbridge.
Key Responsibilities:
Promoting a positive Health and Safety oriented culture.
Ongoing monitoring of agency's comprehensive health and safety policies in all regions.
Implementation and continued monitoring of health and safety procedures for clients and employees.
Processing of employee injury and injury reporting in the workplace. This includes WCB claim management and facilitating modified duties for employees if required.
Facilitating risk management including identification, mitigation and ongoing evaluation of risks.
Participating in various health and safety audits.
Identifying hazards in the workplace and implementation of control measures.
Support agency Health and Safety Committees in all regions.
Tracking of agency Health and Safety data information and data.
Support the upkeep and proper maintenance of the building and work environment.
Ensure maintenance of Health and Safety supplies needed for agency operations.
Administration of agency thank you card incentive program.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
:
Post Secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
Designations or certifications related to Health & Safety preferred.
One or more years of experience working in a Health & Safety capacity.
Computer skills in Word, Excel, data entry.
Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check required.
Certification in incident investigation and hazard assessment preferred.
Experience working in the Disability Service Industry preferred.
Must be dependable, able to work effectivity as part of a team or individually.
Willingness to learn, accept change and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.47 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
