Job Description

SAB Health and Safety Manager Responsibilities:

Oversee the entire IHSA COR Health and Safety Program

Oversee and maintain the Sitedocs platform (Daily reviews and updates required

Maintain records and statistics of health and safety performance using Sitedocs (Every 3 months)

Maintain records of training for all SAB staff using Sitedocs (Monthly reviews and updates required)

When required, schedule the required health and safety training through Workplace Law Consulting Inc. for all staff.

Maintain records of all WHMIS SDS sheets as required (Monthly reviews or as required by project)

Maintain records of the inventory of all health and safety equipment, materials, and equipment (Weekly Updates Required)(see Excel file titled "SAB Inventory")

Conduct yearly COR maintenance audits (once per year)

Select and Assist the External auditor during the external COR audit process (once every three years)

Stay up to date on the Ontario OHSA regulations and standards.

Stay up to date on the IHSA COR standards.

Act as the main point of contact for any MLITSD (AKA MOL) orders or inspection reports.

Conduct incident/near miss investigations through Sitedocs, when required.

Conduct worksite/jobsite inspections weekly (visit every site once per month)

Provide corrective actions to the Supervisors or Project Managers through Sitedocs, when required.

Be the main advocator for the health and safety at the company.

Assist with any prequalification packages with the Project Managers.

Assist with the Foreman's Packages for job startups with the Office Manager.

Assist the Office Manager with the Monthly Esso Reports for the Managers gas expenses.

IHSA COR Responsibilities:

Ensure all SAB staff are completing their Sitedocs documentation

Gather Statistics and records of all health and safety trends for every three months and post on H&S boards and Sitedocs.

All SAB staff to review and sign off on the health and safety trends on Sitedocs.

JHSC meetings every 3 months on the 15th day, 16th day for management follow up meeting. Complete the JHSC and Management Meeting Minutes in timely manner to be posted on H&S boards and Sitedocs.

SAB progress meeting minutes every week/month (whichever is manageable) and complete the meeting minutes to be posted on Sitedocs and uploaded to the OneDrive

Conduct regular worksite inspections of every site minimum once a year and complete these on Sitedocs under the "Site Visit Checklist".

Annual Management Review Meetings once per year (usually in January or February) to review the entire IHSA COR health and safety program for any required updates, changes, or legislative changes to be made. Complete the meeting minutes for this meeting and update every form, policy, and procedure in the program to reflect the revision dates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
