We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and continually improve health and safety programs, policies, and procedures. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Provide guidance and support to management and employees on health and safety matters. Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Deliver training sessions on health and safety topics to employees and contractors. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety activities. Stay current with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices. Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to promote a culture of safety and risk management.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in the construction or excavation industry. Strong knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations, including Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Proven track record of developing and implementing effective health and safety programs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough incident investigations. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
