Our client in Midland, ON in the manufacturing industry is seeking a senior Health and Safety Coordinator to join their team. - coordinates all H&S related training; evaluates- and updates policies and procedures
- supports WSIB claims and return to work programs
- leads occupational health and wellness programs
- assists H&S Mgr in planning cooperate business plan/budget and making recommendations to respond to new legislative requirements, programs and systems
- completes job hazard and ergonomic assessments and working with key stakeholders to develop preventative measures/counter actions
- 3-5 years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment
- Professional designation (EP, CRSP, AE, CET) is a strong asset
- hands-on experience with Ontario legislative regulations
- knowledge of managing WSIB claims
- strong communication skills to interact with all levels of management and stakeholders
