Health and Safety Coordinator

to join us at our facility on Annacis Island in Delta. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team and make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and fast-paced fabrication environment.

Reporting to the Corporate Health and Safety Leader, you will be responsible for promoting and assisting to maintain a safe working environment in a high-risk fabrication facility. You will support day-to-day safety operations and serve as a key resource in matters of health and safety compliance. This role is ideal for a safety professional with 3 to 5 years of experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments, especially those with exposure to pipe fabrication, modular construction, or shipbuilding.

Highlights of job duties include:

Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership and ongoing communication Monitor and facilitate compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and all applicable regulations Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the fabrication shop and work areas Support incident investigations and follow up on corrective/preventive actions Assist in delivering and organizing safety orientations and toolbox talks Participate in identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing corrective actions Ensure proper use and availability of PPE and other safety equipment Maintain accurate safety documentation and logs

Here's what we're seeking in the successful candidate:

A diploma or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from an accredited college or university CRSP certification is an asset OFA Level 3 required Minimum of 3 years' experience in occupational health and safety, ideally within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment Knowledge of all applicable Federal and Provincial legislation regarding Occupational Health and Safety Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a culture of safety excellence Knowledge of confined space and hot work processes. Ability to enter confined spaces as well as work at heights. Ability and desire to utilize technology to streamline and improve processes Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Exceptional interpersonal skills. A positive and team-oriented approach to work. Dependable and trustworthy. Ability to prioritize, manage time, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to work well under pressure. Highly motivated and self-directed, with the ability to work independently Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
