About the Opportunity
A Few Good Lads is assisting one of our valued clients in identifying
experienced Health and Safety Professionals
for a range of
contract and consulting opportunities
across
Canada.
These projects will vary in scope and duration, and we're looking to connect with qualified professionals who can support commercial, industrial, and energy-sector construction environments on both short- and long-term engagements.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will hold a
recognized provincial or national safety designation
(such as CRSP, CHSC, NCSO, or CSO) and have a
minimum of five years of experience
in construction or the energy sector. You will be adaptable, proactive, and able to step into new environments with professionalism and confidence.
General Duties
Oversee and support site-level health and safety activities in compliance with provincial regulations and company policies
Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, and on-site inspections
Identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring continuous improvement in safety practices
Collaborate with project teams, management, and subcontractors to maintain safe work environments
Complete and submit incident reports, safety documentation, and progress updates as required
Requirements
Recognized provincial or national health & safety designation (e.g., CRSP, CHSC, NCSO, CSO)
Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial, industrial, or energy-sector construction environments
Strong knowledge of provincial safety legislation and site procedures
Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing project requirements
Compensation
