TalentWorld is recruiting a Health and Safety Clerk in Brampton, Ontario for one of our best clients.
Health & Safety Clerk Responsibilities:
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures that comply with regulatory and corporate requirements
Maintain safety records and provide support to ensure that corrective actions are taken when necessary
Collaborate with HR, operations & third-party claims service provider to manage and oversee claims (Occupational and Non-Occupational), facilitate inspections, audits and site visits.
Keep detailed records of safety inspections, incident investigations, and training.
Utilize ProcessMap, Smartsheet and other means to generate and communicate reports
Reporting and recording incidents in ProcessMap and schedule incident review meetings as necessary
Update Health and Safety boards, TV slides and communicate with the team as necessary.
Health & Safety Clerk Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience preferred
Direct safety, risk, or workers compensation experience preferred
Direct distribution centre operations experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Strong organizational and communication (written, verbal, presentation) skills
Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours including weekends as necessary
Employment Details:
Salary: $21/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday - 40 hours a week (7 am start)
6-12 month contract with potential to go perm
