The Healing Together Project Coordinator will oversee the implementation of the Healing Together project, funded through the Civil Forfeiture Grant Program. This role involves coordinating activities focused on healing Indigenous individuals and families affected by intergenerational trauma, crime, and victimization. The Project Coordinator will work closely with community members, facilitators, and Indigenous organizations to ensure the project's success
Key Responsibilities
Weekly Activities
Community Engagement:
Conduct outreach to engage community members and encourage participation in project activities.
Organize and facilitate weekly meetings with facilitators and staff to discuss ongoing activities and address any challenges.
Activity Coordination:
Plan and oversee weekly workshops and healing circles, ensuring they run smoothly and meet community needs.
Collaborate with guest speakers and facilitators to prepare materials and resources for upcoming sessions.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Track participant attendance and engagement, documenting feedback and outcomes from each session.
Prepare weekly updates for the Executive Director on project progress and any emerging issues
Monthly Activities
Evaluation and Reflection:
Conduct monthly evaluations of the project's impact, collecting qualitative and quantitative data from participants.
Facilitate community feedback sessions to gather insights on the effectiveness of the activities and areas for improvement.
Budget Management:
Review and manage the project budget, ensuring all expenses are tracked and reported accurately.
Prepare monthly financial reports for the Executive Director to ensure transparency and accountability.
Collaborative Partnerships:
Maintain regular communication with local Indigenous organizations and community leaders to strengthen partnerships and share resources.
Attend monthly meetings with the NAFC and other stakeholders to report on project progress and collaborate on broader initiatives.
Yearly Activities
Final Evaluation:
Conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the project at the end of the funding period, analyzing outcomes and participant feedback to measure success and impact.
Prepare and submit the final report by
July 31, 2026
, detailing project achievements, challenges, and financial expenditures.
Community Celebration:
Organize a year-end community showcase event to celebrate participant achievements, share stories, and promote cultural resilience through the healing practices learned during the project
