Comedy Television series looking for a NON-UNION Head Writer

We are a Toronto production company who produces award-winning television. We are seeking to expand our successful team with fresh comic minds for the new 12-episode season of our established scripted comedy TV series.

Must Be:

Non-Union A resident of Ontario for the past two years A Canadian citizen

Qualifications:

Strong leadership skills Prior experience working in/running a writers room Experience writing for scripted television Can tell a funny story in a page and a half Skilled at story arcs, episode treatments, and dialogue scenes Can meet hard deadlines Strong interest and understanding in comedy Strong writing and communication skills Can work independently and collaborate in a writers group

Responsibilities involve but not limited to:

Work directly under our Showrunner and Director Lead writers room Maintain show's consistent tone Arc a story and pace a 30 min comedy Writing scripts, dialogue, voiceover

Starts immediately.

Rate based on experience.
