The Head Swim Instructor oversees all aspects of swim instruction, ensuring the delivery of high-quality aquatic programs that cater to various age groups and skill levels. This role involves teaching lessons, reviewing lesson plans, supervising swim instructors, and maintaining a safe and engaging environment for all participants.?
Key Responsibilities:
Review lesson plans to ensure they are engaging, effective, and promote water safety and swimming proficiency while aligning with swimmers' abilities and current swim levels.?
Instruct swim lessons, demonstrating proper techniques and fostering a positive learning environment for students.
Conduct water interviews, train, and supervise a team of swim instructors, providing ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities.?
Conduct regular evaluations of instructors to ensure the quality and consistency of swim instruction.?
Observe and enforce all safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe swimming environment.?
Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and program participation.?
Communicate effectively with participants and their families regarding progress, schedules, and any program changes.?
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a swim instructor, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.?
Required valid certifications: Standard First Aid with CPR-C, and National Lifeguard.?
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.?
Ability to work with diverse age groups and skill levels.?
Previous competitive swimming experience is an asset.?
