Job title: Head of SGT-A65/A45 Engineering

Location: UK or Montreal

A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Head of Product Engineering for the SGT-A45 and SGT-A65 Aeroderivative Gas Turbines, you will be responsible for leading the product support, reliability and repair and overhaul engineering teams and ensuring the successful delivery of new products and enhancements to our existing product portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, project and product management and operations to ensure that our products meet customer needs and market demands. You will be accountable for leading technical support and documentation for the installed fleets and in the gas turbine overhaul base, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of the product.

How You\'ll Make an Impact

• Be accountable for the safety and reliability of the product.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze customer needs and market demands, and work with product management to incorporate them into the product roadmap.
• Lead the product development process for the product from ideation to launch, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and release.
• Develop and implement engineering best practices and processes to ensure quality and efficiency in the product engineering teams
• Ensure product engineering teams are skilled, tooled and motivated to enable them to deliver.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for product engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards in all product development activities.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for product innovation.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders, providing technical expertise and support as needed.
• Participate in industry events and conferences to stay up-to-date on emerging trends and technologies.

What You Bring

• Bachelors or Master\'s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and a member of the "l\'Ordre des ing\xc3\xa9nieurs du Qu\xc3\xa9bec"
• 12+ years previous experience in the design, development and technical support of gas turbines, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Project Management experience in planning, controlling budgets and driving to schedules
• Strong knowledge of gas turbine technology and related products and services.
• Recognized ability at working in cross functional / geographical / cultural working environments
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers and fleet support specialists.
• Familiarity with regulatory and industry standards related to gas turbine technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in the power generation or oil and gas industry.
• Proficient in both English and French

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
