Position Summary:

Global External Manufacturing within Manufacturing & Supply is the organization that manages the outsourced production and supply of DS/DP/FG for Specialty Care, General Medicines and Vaccines in Sanofi (1.1B\xe2\x82\xac CMO purchases).

The Head of Finance EM&S Large Molecules will be reporting to the Head of Finance \xe2\x80\x93 Global External Manufacturing & Supply. The person in this role will be the Finance BP to the Head of External Manufacturing Large Molecules.

Key Responsibilities:

The Head of Finance EM&S Large Molecules will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and reporting the financial performance of a large network of CMO operations for 20+ specialty care drugs and vaccines worldwide with annual CMO purchases of 0.5m\xe2\x82\xac. The person in this role will also be responsible for all the financial planning of the EM Large Molecules organization. The successful candidate will be a trusted financial partner to the business with strong analytical skills, strategic and focused on achieving results.

Lead the financial activities of the perimeter by partnering with Head of External Manufacturing Large Molecules and Head of Finance EM&S to translate the strategic objectives of the organization into financial goals and results. Challenge the status quo and deliver strong analytical reporting to support the decision-making process.

Responsible for the monthly close, financial performance reporting, variance analysis and forward-looking financial exercises such as budgeting, forecasting strategic planning and project investments.

Provide financial insights and have the ability of influencing key decisions involving Contract Manufacturing purchases and commitments.

Build and maintain strong working relationships and partnerships with cross functional and central teams.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and Sanofi financial policies.

Play a key leading role to build a finance organization focused on results and performance.

Provides leadership to Finance BPs to drive continuous business improvement and active involvement on talent development.

Able to focus on core business issues, define challenging goals and set direction to achieve short term and long term goals.

Optimize the management of existing contracts and applies best practices to new contracts.

Heavy involvement in strategic projects involving M&A, divestitures, and sourcing decisions (internal/external).

Ability to provide strong analytical financial insights to drive business growth and cost optimization.

Key Requirements:

A Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting is required. Advanced degree / CPA is a plus.

A minimum of 10 years of working experience in finance is required.

Pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry is preferred.

Fluency in English is required.

Strong rigor and ability to multi-task and to organize, manage and prioritize deadlines.

Able to work in a multi-cultural, fast-paced and demanding environment.
