COMPANY OVERVIEW The Prairie Payments Joint Venture (PPJV) is a joint venture owned by three Prairie centrals created to digitally transform and modernize payment services for credit unions the Prairies. PPJV\xe2\x80\x99s goal is to ensure prairie credit unions are competitive in payments and have access to efficient, modernized payments processing infrastructure.
ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief of Staff and with a dotted line working with the VP, People & Culture, Client Experience & Engagement, the Head, Corporate Affairs, as a member of the senior leadership team, is responsible for creating and maintaining the organization\xe2\x80\x99s image. This individual will lead the organization\xe2\x80\x99s external and internal affairs strategy and execution by building and maintaining strategic relationships with stakeholders through various means.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement and execute appropriate Corporate Affairs strategy to achieve positive image and brand.
  • Lead and implement the organization\xe2\x80\x99s strategic communications (internal and external) and marketing functions to help achieve and maintain brand awareness and loyalty.
  • Lead and coordinate annual surveys/research into stakeholder\'s perceptions and image of the organization, to achieve and maintain a positive reputation for the organization.
  • Develop and implement a Corporate Social Responsibility/ESG framework and program for the organization to support the ethical, environmentally friendly, and community-minded side of the organization. This would involve supporting internal culture building and would consist of connecting PPJV to the communities of the clients it serves.
  • Develop and lead Crisis Management strategies to alleviate crisis situations and maintain positive relationships.
  • Lead and manage Business Development including strategy development and implementation.
  • Advise senior management on key strategic decisions to support brand.
  • Support the strategic planning process for the organization.
  • Support change management and culture initiatives to achieve desired business plans and culture.
  • Lead and manage government and industry relations to build trust and credibility within the payments ecosystem to ensure our clients are heard. (ex. Payments Canada, LCUC etc..)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree (minimum bachelor) in communications, marketing, business administration or related area is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience, of which at least five must have been at a leadership level.
  • Experience building relationships with various stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to translate strategy/and other complex material into clear communication plans and messaging.
  • Crisis management experience especially dealing with various stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, be agile
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with an ability to network and interact at all levels
  • Advanced computer literacy skills - MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be bondable.

Ideally, candidates will be located in one of our current customer areas of Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba.
