The role of the Head of Audio Department is to ensure the success and continuous business development of the advertising, experiential, episodic and film audio operations of Rodeo FX. He/she ensures a cohesive vision that empowers others and not only exists, but grows and thrives locally and internationally. He/she ensures traffic to the audio department, plans budgets, decides on resource allocations (personnel/technical), ensures the maintenance of the infrastructure under his/her responsibility and implements growth strategies. He/she is responsible to ensure the financial health of the department, in collaboration with other producers and management. To be successful, He/she is a skilled project manager with a successful track record in leading projects and teams from inception to delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure audio project supervision and executive production while implementing and optimizing audio procedures and methodologies.
  • Manage the integration of the Audio division with the other divisions of Rodeo FX.
  • Work closely with executives on development, strategy and fostering external partnerships.
  • Work with both internal and external partner teams on social media, marketing, and advertising to maximize revenue potential and foster strong communication and synergy.
  • Contribute ideas on how to expand Audio projects using Rodeo FX's storytelling strengths while seeking audience engagement and audience growth opportunities.
  • Responsible for budgets, forecasts, income statements and ensuring that budget targets are met; negotiation of contracts, customer and supplier agreements.
  • Foster mentorship and skill development opportunities for producers and coordinators.
  • Help to develop diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility initiatives in collaboration with both internal Rodeo FX executives and external partner executives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience as an executive producer, or senior-level manager in audio.
  • Strong collaborative skills with ability to manage projects from inception to production, as well as the ability to delegate and prioritize effectively.
  • Sound editorial judgment, keeping in mind the Rodeo FX brand identity.
  • Strong executive communication and people management skills.
  • A strong sense of brand importance as a through line in content.
  • Understanding of the Advertising, Recording, Sound design and Mix, Post-production industry, techniques, and emerging audio trends.
  • Experience working with talent, including coaching.
  • 2-4 years' experience managing a small team.
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive and innovative environment. Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
