We are a Corn Mill in Ontario. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head Miller to lead our team in a dynamic food manufacturing environment. This leadership role requires a strong understanding of food processing, safety standards, and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will oversee daily production activities, ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety regulations, and maintain high-quality standards across all processes. Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily food processing and packaging operations to ensure efficiency and quality. Oversee sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with food safety standards. Manage inventory levels of packaging materials and coordinate with procurement as needed. Operate or oversee the operation of forklifts for material handling within the facility. Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of equipment and personal protective gear. Implement mechanical troubleshooting techniques to resolve equipment issues promptly. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and production lines to maintain optimal functioning. Maintain accurate documentation related to production, sanitation, and safety procedures. Train new staff on food safety practices, machinery operation, and quality standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in food industry manufacturing or food processing environments. Knowledge of packaging processes, forklift operation, and sanitation procedures. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and standards. Basic math skills for inventory management and measurement tasks. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
