We are seeking a Part Time Head Lifeguard to join our Aquatics Team. Our Aquatics Team provides a safe, enjoyable atmosphere with the highest standards in cleanliness and water quality, where Glencoe members of all ages can receive instruction and supervision by highly qualified lifeguards and instructors.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and provide leadership to Lifeguards/Instructors and ensure exceptional service is provided to all Glencoe Club members and guests, delegating tasks and completing performance management as necessary Assist and ensure the accurate and complete recording of pool water tests, maintenance tracking and opening/closing checklists Being knowledgeable about program information, schedules and pool rules in order to assist members Administrative tasks such as data entry of pool statistics, aqua fit attendance, maintenance tracking and finding shift coverage for open shifts as needed Lead shadow orientation shifts and assist in training of new employees Make decisions on maximum capacity management of outdoor pool area, utilization of the waitlist system and utilization of on-call lifeguards

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of Lifeguard/Swim Instructor experience Completion of Head Lifeguard In Training Program strongly recommended National Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, SFA and CPR-C Awards are required Comfort leading emergency situations to resolution Comfortable supervising and leading employees NLI, Lifesaving Instructor, SFAI and Trainer Awards considered assets

Additional Details:

This is a Part Time position that reports to the Aquatics Director. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check including a Vulnerable Sector Check as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
