We're Hiring: Head Gardener

Horticulture expert. Team leader. Passionate about beautiful landscapes?

We're looking for a Head Gardener to lead the planning, care, and maintenance of our residential and commercial gardens. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll manage a dedicated team and ensure all enhancement and maintenance projects meet the highest standards of quality, aesthetics, and environmental responsibility.

What You'll Be Doing

Garden Management & Field Leadership

Plan and implement seasonal tasks like pruning, weeding, fertilizing, and pest control Oversee the care of flowerbeds, rock beds, shrubs, and trees to maintain optimal plant health Identify and recommend garden enhancements to improve beauty and functionality Lead, train, and schedule a team of gardeners, ensuring safety and timely task completion Serve as the key contact for clients, offering guidance on plant care and garden design Monitor tool and supply inventory, ensuring proper use and maintenance Maintain records of garden activities, team performance, and plant health Promote eco-friendly practices such as composting, native planting, and water conservation

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Horticulture, Landscape Design, or a related field (preferred) 5+ years of gardening or landscaping experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record

Skills & Attributes

Deep knowledge of plant care and garden maintenance techniques Strong team leadership and training skills Excellent communication and client service abilities Organized, proactive, and able to manage tasks in changing conditions Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
