Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC's Technology and Operations division. GFT's impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

What will you do?
Lead a team of 5+ analysts, consultants and developers
Provide to the team technical leadership act as an engineering conduit
Own the delivery roadmap for data initiatives
Manage technical and PO stakeholder relationships
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
8+ years of proven experience in technical leadership roles.
Prior leadership experience managing data teams.
Experience in software development and or engineering.
Ability to define and execute data strategy aligned with business goals
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
Experience implementing data governance, data quality, and data privacy frameworks
Nice-to-have
Familiarity with data engineering, ETL processes, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
Ability to present complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
Basic financial experience
