ensures compliance with the specifications for all operations related to the various food and janitorial service projects under their supervision. Their main role is to ensure quality service delivery, in accordance with company standards and client expectations.

Under the authority of the Site Manager, the
Chef
assumes all responsibilities related to culinary preparation and service operations, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly. They are responsible for compliance with menus and for managing kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
Preparation
Plan the distribution of work in the kitchen;
Ensure the cleanliness of kitchen areas;
Ensure meal production in both quantity and quality;
Handle equipment and appliances: Rational oven, mixer, etc.;
Perform daily inspections of work areas;
Manage production surpluses and avoid food waste;
Service
Ensure meal setup and presentation;
Ensure freshness of prepared meals and dishes;
Ensure compliance with MAPAQ, WHMIS, and CNESST standards in the kitchen;
Ensure compliance with food handling and portioning standards;
Ensure adherence to specifications and food availability (ready-to-eat, distribution, self-service);
Ensure compliance with kitchen service schedules;
Maintain good relationships with customers;
Staff Management
Ensure new employees are properly integrated into their roles;
Ensure healthy working relationships among employees;
Foster a work environment based on collaboration, mutual support, and staff development;
Report any problematic situations to their superior;
Inventory Management
Perform inventory checks;
Assist in verifying merchandise upon receipt;
Help prepare food orders;
Ensure stock rotation according to company standards;
Perform any other related duties.
Requirements:
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
DEC in establishment management or DEP in institutional cooking, combined with relevant experience;
Organizational skills;
Computer skills;
Ability to work as a team and motivate others;
Good judgment and leadership;
Excellent communication skills;
Bilingual (French, English).
Work Schedule and Location:
Willingness to work on a rotating 14/14 schedule (14 days on, 14 days off);
Work in remote areas;

Sommaire du poste:
Sous l'autorite du gestionnaire de site, le chef de cuisine assume toutes les responsabilites des operations de preparation et de service culinaires, en veillant au bon fonctionnement de la cuisine. Ce dernier est responsable du respect des menus et des employes en cuisine.
Responsabilites :
Preparation
Planifier la repartition du travail en cuisine;
Assurer la proprete des espaces de cuisine;
Assurer la production des repas en quantite et qualite;
Manipuler les equipements et appareils; four rational, malaxeur, etc.;
Proceder a l'inspection quotidienne des aires de travail;
Gerer les surplus de production et eviter les gaspillages de denree alimentaire;
Service
S'assurer de la mise en place et de la presentation des repas et des mets;
S'assurer de la fraicheur des repas et des mets prepares;
Assurer le respect des normes MAPAQ, SIMDUT et CNESST en cuisine;
Assurer le respect des standards de manipulation, de portionnement;
S'assurer du respect du devis et de la disponibilite des aliments (pret a manger, distribution, libre-service);
S'assurer du respect des horaires de service de la cuisine;
Entretenir de bonnes relations avec la clientele;
Gestion de personnel
Assurer l'integration des nouveaux employes dans leurs nouvelles fonctions;
Assurer le respect de saines relations de travail entre les employes;
Mettre en place un environnement de travail axe sur la collaboration, l'entraide et le developpement des employes;
Rapporter a son superieur toute situation problematique;
Gestion des stocks
Effectuer la prise d'inventaire;
Participer a la verification de la marchandise au moment de la reception;
Participe a preparer les commandes alimentaires;
Assurer la rotation des stocks selon les standards de l'entreprise;

Exigences:
De 3 a 5 ans d'experience dans une position similaire;
DEC en gestion d'etablissement ou DEP en cuisine d'etablissement, jumelee a une experience pertinente;
Sens de l'organisation;
Competences informatiques;
Habilete a travailler en equipe et a mobiliser une equipe;
Faire preuve de jugement et de leadership;
Excellent communicateur;
Bilinguisme (francais, anglais).
