Job Summary

The Head Cook plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen and ensuring that all food preparation and service meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and a commitment to creating an exceptional dining experience for guests. The Head will manage kitchen staff, coordinate meal preparation, and maintain compliance with food safety regulations.

Duties

Lead and supervise kitchen staff in daily operations to ensure efficient workflow. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Develop menus and meal plans that align with customer preferences and dietary restrictions. Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food service practices, and safety protocols. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed to ensure availability of ingredients. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal times. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with health regulations.

Skills

Proven experience in serving, food preparation, and cooking within a restaurant or food service environment. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Previous experience in a leadership role within a kitchen setting is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and other departments. Passion for the food industry and commitment to delivering high-quality meals to guests.

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
